Project Title: Education and Outreach for Offshore Wind in Oregon

Project Objectives: This project supports the Pacific Marine Energy Center at Oregon State University education and outreach initiatives focused on the responsible advancement of floating offshore wind in Oregon and around the Pacific Northwest.

The goals of this project are:

1) Enhance the ability of OSU, Oregon Sea Grant, and PMEC to facilitate ‘safe-space’ discussions around offshore wind within Oregon through partnership and consultation with organizations and institutions in the offshore wind space, including EF grantees, consultants, and partners.

2) Improve the understanding and engagement of the scientific expertise within the OSU faculty, staff, and students within the offshore wind discussion in Oregon.

3) Strengthen engagements between OSU, Tribal Nations, and major community organizations to improve communication, knowledge dissemination, and to support participation in other offshore wind processes and community benefits discussions.
